Looking for a MealSuite alternative?

MealSuite is a broad foodservice platform used across senior living. If you are weighing options, here is a plain account of what MealCare Dietary Services does, who it suits and what it costs — so you can judge the fit rather than take our word for it.

Who MealCare is built for

MealCare Dietary Services is built for the dietary services contractor running kitchens inside several nursing homes at once. Your office works from one company account covering every facility; each facility manager signs in and sees only their own site's menus, staff, counts, notes and compliance records.

What MealCare includes

Menu approvals, not just menu building
Facility managers submit each weekly menu as a draft. Your central office clears or returns every one from a single Approvals queue, so no kitchen runs a menu the office has not seen.
Resident diet orders and allergies
Diet orders, textures and allergy flags are held against the facility they belong to and stay visible to that facility's team and your office.
Kitchen scheduling with real rates
Shift schedules per facility, with each worker's position and hourly rate stored, so labour is costed from the schedule instead of guessed.
Daily meal counts
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack counts logged per facility, per day — the base number behind every cost figure on the site.
Cost per meal and per resident day
Scheduled labour and counted meals roll up against each facility's monthly dietary budget across every site you operate.
Survey-ready compliance records
Temperature logs, sanitation checklists and staff compliance records filed by facility and dated, ready to hand to a surveyor.

What it costs

Pricing is published, per facility, per month, in US dollars, and the rate falls as your facility count grows. There is no per-user charge — facility manager logins are unlimited within a facility.

  • Starter — $50 per facility per month for 124 facilities.
  • Growth — $40 per facility per month for 2550 facilities.
  • Enterprise — $35 per facility per month for 51100 facilities.

Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled, seats can be added or removed at any time, and payments are handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd. as merchant of record. Details are on the pricing page.

Where MealCare may not fit

MealCare is not a full foodservice suite. It does not run inventory and purchasing, POS or retail dining, resident point-of-service ordering at the table, or supply dietitian-authored recipe libraries and nutrient analysis. If procurement and recipe-level nutrition are the core of your buying decision, a larger suite fits better. If your problem is oversight, costing and compliance across many facilities, that is what MealCare is for.
